Minoo, Osaka - The waterfall....finally

We have now lived in Osaka for 16 months and I think we have done pretty well with seeing a lot of things.  We (more like me on mountain driving runs) have been to Minoo more times than most people but for some reason we had never stopped to see the waterfall that brings to many people to the area.  Well, we finally stopped and it was worth it.  I can't wait to see it in the fall.  I have a feeling we won't be living here then but who knows.

After parking you walk along the road and river to the main entrance.  You pass by a few older closed entrances that make you wonder why they are now prohibited to use.  Seems like a nice bridge to cross-

After some twisty and steep switchbacks you get to the bottom and voila!

Naturally, there are vendors to sell you food and such.  I would really like to sit down and have a beer sometime-

Aki didn't seem to impressed with the waterfall.  Or with anything that day.

One should always take the time to check out the manhole cover they are walking over in Japan.  There probably hundreds of different ones throughout Japan representing the area you find them in.
