At the end of the shotengai we took a right towards the center of the city and walked on. Houses in Japan aren't literally built on top of each other as much as they are right next to. As in touching. When one is torn down you can usually see the outline of it unless the try harder to cover up than this one-
The tanuki, or racoon, can be found outside food and drink establishments all over Japan as a sign of good luck-
I love a good diner. This is not one.
I have walked past this restaurant a million times and have always wanted to take a picture. Eating there on the other hand.....
