Our last day with Sakura - Arashiyama - The river and loud bad guys

With just a few days left in our spring vacation we wanted to catch just a biiiit more cherry blossoms before they headed out for the year.  We figured we would go big and go to Arashiyama in Kyoto to see them.  Rather than drive we thought trains might be faster and would let me off the hook for finding parking and potentially having my head explode when being unsuccessful.

Once we had arrived I took a picture of this woman having another person take a photo of her-

Adjacent to the station is Saga Scenic Railway station, a famous small mining train cum tourist trap.  We both wanted to go for a ride on it but even at a the relatively early time we had gotten there ALL the seats were sold out.  Crazy.

This beer made me happen-

Walking from the station it was easy to see that this place was quite a touristy place-

Countless cool places abounded from every earthen entrance-

"Panasonic resort."  Interesting...

It was also evident that this place has a lot of money.  There is a house in there somewhere-

To stop the cats? Or invite them for a nap?

In stark contrast to the previous house, this thing with its one window really stood out-

That black box of a house had a pretty nice plot of land though since its view was this-

I loved the guy who canoed out to the rocks to eat his lunch-

I thought was had came into the area via the main station but somehow a million other people had arrived from somewhere else.  After seeing the traffic I was incredibly glad to have not driven but still.....where did they all come from?

The uber famous bridge-

I loved the white dotting the hills-

A stupid car with a stupid driver with a stupidly loud exhaust note trying to look cool on the bridge-

The same goes for these guys.  So loud!

Next up is a bit more peacefulness
